Awards Luncheon & Business Meeting at the Annual Conference, Plus a Special Keynote

IIAT’s annual business meeting will be held during the awards luncheon at the annual conference on Friday, June 15 (noon-1:30 p.m.), in San Antonio at the JW Marriott. The agenda includes the election of new board members and the introduction of new officers.

During the luncheon, IIAT will also announce the winners of the Paige Eiland Political Action Award and the 2018 Drex Foreman Award. The Paige Eiland Award recognizes a person whose political involvement has had a great impact on independent insurance agents. The award was last presented in 2013 to Al Boenker of Fort Worth. It is named for Paige Eiland of Stanton, TX, a longtime member who worked tirelessly on behalf of agents in both state and federal political arenas.

The Drex Foreman Award, IIAT’s highest honor, recognizes exceptional individual contributions to the Independent Agency System, the Texas insurance industry and local community. The award is named for Drex Foreman, who served as executive director of IIAT for 30 years.

The luncheon also features a special keynote from Marcus Sheridan, the Sales Lion. He’ll discuss digital consumers, how today’s buyer has changed and what your business must do about it. Hope to see you there!

  1. We’re looking forward to the show! We’ll be discussing how insurance agents can become their client’s hero with captive insurance planning. Visit Capstone Associated Services at Booth 418 to learn more about how captive insurance can benefit insurance agents and their clients.
